There is a total of 10 luxury air-conditioned tents standing on an elevated platform, all same in their décor. Their set-up reminds one of travelling tents of the Mughals that had room segregation using cotton drapes. Made-up of canvas, these tents spread in an area of 108 meter square, consist of ceilings and interior walls in fine cotton, steel frame supporters. A sit-out room is also erected on the concrete deck. A six meter canopy in the tent’s center has a huge daybed for lounging purpose.
The central area is divided into 3 portions- for bathing, dressing and sleeping. The bathroom consists of a separate toilet, a shower and a soaking tub, the dressing area gas twin vanities and cupboards while the well-fitted bedroom has a king-size bed and twin-writing beds. The tents also have a heating system, a ceiling fan and a cooler chest.
TThe dining tent, lit by soft lighting lamps, consists of 1 large center table and various small tables with chairs. Here, you can relish the delicacies of Indian and other Western cuisines, which are prepared from freshly grown herbs and vegetables that are grown in the organic vegetable garden. One of the major highlights of the evening is dinner around an outdoor fire.
Standing alongside the Dining Tent is the well-furnished Lounge Tent, consisting of banquettes, reading tables and chairs. This is a perfect place to relax and unwind while reading your favorite coffee-table book, from a wide selection kept there. The books are on interesting topics like the tigers of India, the National Park, history and culture of Rajasthan, and more. There is also a collection of board games, novels and magazines. If you want, you can also listen to the CDs, with personal CD players. You can also shop for fabrics, local handicrafts, and other knick-knacks.
Besides the tiger trails, guests here can also participate in a number of other recreational facilities such as the nature walks, camel safaris, and a visit to the Ranthambore Fort. The resort organizes for individual and group tours to the fort and to the traditional villages located in its near vicinity. Naturalists guiding guests on nature walks make the activity all the more fun and informative. One may even get a chance to visit the Ranthambore School of Art.
Aman-i-Khas resort also consists of a Spa Tent that has a small fountain in the center, 2 treatment areas, with each having twin massage tables. You can indulge in traditional henna art, massages, scrubs that are prepared by using local herbs and elements.
