It is not wrong to say that work is worship but it is extremely important that in order to rejuvenate tired mind, body and soul, one must go out on holidays from time to time. Thus, for the same reason last time, I took a royal India Tour with my loved ones. I must say that by visiting Rajasthan, I got an insight into India’s risk princely culture. We actually enjoyed a lot by during this 12 day/11 night journey. We got a glimpse of the Old-world charm of opulent Rajasthan, visited historical monuments in Delhi and also visited Taj Mahal in Agra, one of the 7 wonders of the world.

The first two days were spent on the sightseeing tour of the capital city of India, Delhi. We visited both Old and New Delhi which are actually quite different from each other. Our expedition started with Old Delhi where we saw Chandni Chowk, Red Fort and JamaMasjid. Then we moved towards Raj Ghat, India gate, President’s House. Doing some shopping the famous markets, was a great experience.

On day 3, we travelled to Agra. We went on a city excursion on the same and next day too.  The monuments here are some of the finest examples of Mughal architecture. We visited Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Panch Mahal, Itmad-Ud-Daulah. By visiting these monuments seems that one has got transferred back into times into the modern era.

We proceeded towards Jaipur, the Pink City on 5thday and en-route we also visited Fatehpur Sikri, which is a world heritage site by UNESCO. Undoubtedly, Jaipur is one of the most amazing cities of the county. Here we visited various forts and palaces such as Jaigarh Fort, Amer Fort, Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Seesh Mahal, Birla Temple, Amber Fort where we enjoyed the elephant ride, Hawa Mahal, City Palace. The best part was witnessing the puppet show and buying some exquisite handicrafts from the local bazaar.

On the 7thday, after sumptuous breakfast, we moved to our next destination which was Jodhpur which is known as the Blue City. Day 8 was booked for the excursion  of the fort  museum that has a collection of royal palanquins which was followed by visits to Jaswant Thada, Mandore Garden etc.

We got transferred to the Venice of East, Udaipur on the 9thday. On the way, we stopped at Ranakpur temple, one of the most sacred pilgrims of Jainsim. The next day was spent on a city’s excursion, visiting, City Palace, Lake Pichola where we enjoyed the boat ride, Jagdish temple,and  Saheliyon Ki Bari.

On the last day, after having a leisurely breakfast, we took our flight back to Delhi. Going on this tour was ‘one of its kind’ sort of an experience with all fond memories.
