Itinerary

Day 1

Cochin (Arrival)

Upon your arrival at Cochin airport, our guests will meet you and assist you in smooth transfer to the hotel. Spend rest of the day in leisure.

Kochi, also known as Cochin is a colonial town and the place where Europeans built their first settlement. Located in the Eravikulam district of Kerala, Kochi is ranked among the six best destinations in India by renowned travel magazines.

Day 2

Cochin-Munnar

Early morning set out on a sightseeing tour of Cochin. Visit St. Francis Church- the oldest church in India known for housing the mortal remains of Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama, Dutch Palace- Built by Portuguese in 1555 AD, today, it houses a portrait gallery of rajas of Cochin and is best known for exhibiting wonderful mythological murals in India and Chinese Fishing Nets.

In the evening feast upon the colorful Kathakali Dance Drama. Kathakali is a traditional classical dance combing five elements expressions, dance, enactment, song and instrumental accompaniment. The most notable feature of this dance is attractive make-up, elaborate costumes as well as detailed gestures and emotions such as serenity, wonder, kindness, love, contempt, valor, hatred, fear and anger.

Post sightseeing in Cochin, hit the road to Munnar. En route enjoy the breathtaking views of Cardamom hills and tea plantations. Munnar is one of the most astounding hill stations in Kerala and offers idyllic surroundings valleys and breathtaking views of clouds and misty valleys which make it look like a natural heaven.

Day 3

Munnar (Sightseeing)

Early morning proceed on a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park- Once a former hunting ground of Britisher’s, today this national park widely known for housing highly endangered Nilgiri Tahr. This park is also home to other wildlife species such as Nilgiri marten, small clawed otter, ruddy mongoose and dusky striped squirrel.

Later you will visit Anamudi peak, which is the highest peak in south India followed by old Munnar town and the Mattupetty Dam. Mattupetty Dam is a storage dam and a great picnic spot with a beautiful lake in the backdrop. One can enjoy various kinds of boating in the lake here such as speed launch, slow speedboat and motorboats. The place is an ideal spot for trekking owing to its lush green tea plantations, rolling grasslands and cascading waterfalls.

Day 4

Munnar - Thekkady

Post breakfast, head towards the wildlife sanctuary at Periyar. The large variety of flora and fauna housed within the sanctuary will take you by surprise. Right from wild elephants to animals like Nilgiri Langur, Nilgiri Tahr, deer, bison, antelope, the list is quite big. 

On reaching Periyar check in at the hotel. Later proceed on a sightseeing tour of Thekkady which include safari trip in Periyar wildlife sanctuary.

Day 5

Thekkady–Alleppey

Post breakfast, drive to Alleppey. On reaching Alleppey board the houseboat and traverse through the sleepy backwaters of Kerala. Feast upon the mesmerizing views of palm-fringed backwaters, rice barges, green paddy fields and charming villages. Later enjoy a delicious traditional food in the dinner freshly prepared on board.

Day 6

Alleppey- Kumarakom

On the 6th day of Kerala with Goa tour, your houseboat will enter into the backwater region of Kumarakom.

Set in the backdrop of Vemband Lake, Kumarakom is a picturesque and tranquil backwater destination in Kerala. If you want to witness the nature in its full form, Kumarakom is certainly your best bet. The endless breathtaking vistas of blue lake, verdant meadows, paddy fields, meandering lagoons and varieties of avifaunal species adds up to the serenity of this region.

Day 7

Kumarakom

Kumarakom / Cochin
