Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Delhi

Assemble at Delhi's Safdarjung Railway Station, where you receive a traditional welcome and complete check-in formalities. After being offered welcome drinks and they settle in their allotted cabin as the train chugs off for Sawai Madhopur. You can spend the time taking advantage of onboard facilities like spa and dining. Dinner and overnight stay in Deccan Odyssey.

Day 2

Sawai Madhopur

The train reaches Sawai Madhopur in the morning and de-board to take part in jungle safari of Ranthambore National Park, which is one of India's largest national parks, well-known for its abundance of tigers. This served as a royal hunting ground to the maharajas of Jaipur. The safari is divided into two parts- morning and afternoon.

Return to the train and enjoy delicious dinner. Overnight stay onboard.

Day 3

Agra

The train reaches Agra on the third day of the trip and the breakfast is served onboard. Agra is particularly popular for its Mughal structures, mainly the Taj Mahal which is a white-marble mausoleum and the Seventh Wonder of the World.

Sightseeing session of Agra includes Taj Mahal, Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb and Agra Fort.

Stay overnight onboard.

Day 4

Jaipur

On the fourth day of the trip, the train arrives in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. Jaipur is very popular with the name "Pink City" and is dotted with royal palaces, forts and glittering markets. Guests have the choice of visiting popular sites of Jaipur like Amer Fort, Nahargarh Fort, City Palace and Jal Mahal. Later, you can shop for Rajasthan's signature handlooms, handicrafts, jewelry and other knick and knacks.

A gala dinner is to be arranged in a special venue. Return to the comforts of the train and relax. Stay overnight onboard as the train leaves for Jodhpur.

Day 5

Udaipur

Welcome to the City of Lakes, the Venice of East; Udaipur. Breakfast is served onboard and the guests then leave for Udaipur sightseeing. Sites to be visited today include City Palace and Fateh Prakash Palace, followed by leisure walk through the old streets of the city. In the evening take a boat ride on Lake Pichola.

Stay overnight in the comforts of Deccan Odyssey.

Day 6

Vadodara

Your luxury train reaches Vadodara on the sixth day of the tour and breakfast is served onboard. De-board the train to visit popular attractions of the city such as Jama Masjid. Visit Champaner, the historic city of Gujarat, where you can explore Pavagadh Archeological Park and Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. After the city tour a lively folk dance performance is to be witnesses in the Laxmi Vilas Palace, followed by dinner which includes a wide range of Gujarati dishes served from the royal kitchen. Stay overnight onboard.

Day 7

Aurangabad-Ellora Caves

Your luxury ride; Deccan Odyssey reaches Aurangabad on the seventh day. The city has numerous attractions to explore. Check out the Daulatabad Fort, Bibi-ka-Makbara and others. Next is visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Ellora Caves. Marvel at the 34 rock craved shrines featuring Hindu, Buddhist and Jain scriptures.

Return for dinner at Deccan Odyssey and relish its pleasures.

Day 8

Mumbai

As you arrive in Mumbai, have your breakfast and complete check-out formalities. The guests then de-board the train and the journey comes to an end.

  • The above costs are per cabin per Journey.
  • Presidential Suite can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (Applicable for Children below 12 years
  • Government Service tax of 5% is additional and will be charged extra on the published tariff
  • Prices are subject to change in case of any amendment in the routing or other hikes such as fuel, taxes etc.
  • Child rates are applicable from 6 to 12 years.

Child Policy

  • Deccan Odyssey does accommodate children but we ask parents to be mindful of the sophisticated adult atmosphere we endeavor to maintain. One child up to 5 years of age shall be allowed free of cost in the Deluxe Cabin, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
  • For families, with a child between 6-12 years of age, or, with two children with one child below 5 years and another between 6-12 years, we recommend the Presidential Suite which has a double bed in the bedroom and can be shared with a child below 5 years and a sofa cum bed in the living room which can accommodate the older child. In this case, the child/children will be accommodated free of cost.
  • In case of two children between 6-12 years of age travelling with their parents, you will have to take 2 cabins. The first child pays 25% of the adult fare and the second child will have to pay 50% of the adult fare. One of the parents will have to be present with the child / children in the cabin.
  • Please note that we do not have the facility for interconnecting cabins.
  • All applicable taxes will be charged extra.

Booking Policies

  • You are required to pay 20% of ticket value at the time of booking confirmation.
  • Rest 80% of the ticket value is to be paid 45 days before departure.

Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email and subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division
  • If the cancellation is made 60 days prior to departure, no cancellation charges.
  • 20% of ticket value 45-59 days prior to departure.
  • 50% of ticket value 30-44 days prior to departure.
  • 100% ticket value will be retained, if cancelled 29 days prior to commencement of Train journey.
