The garden is constructed below the Krishnarajasagar dam, across the River Cauvery. Along with flowers and colourful flowers, one of the major attractions here is the colourful musical fountain.

Mysore Zoo is also a must-visit attraction, which is home to a vast variety of animals. The outdoor stage with the Chamundi Hills in the background is also a prime attraction here. Also known as Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Garden, it was founded in 1982 under royal patronage.
